Consultant in Obstetrics, Maternal and Fetal Medicine
I believe that feeling listened to is an essential part of good care. My approach combines specialist expertise with clear, thoughtful conversations, so you can understand your options and make decisions that feel right for you.
My maternal medicine and preconception practice supports women with complex medical histories to prepare for pregnancy or IVF, in partnership with their medical and fertility teams.
After graduating from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005, I completed specialist training in London, including at King’s College Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital. I hold a Master’s degree in Fetal Medicine and Prenatal Genetics from UCL and a PhD in Fetal Medicine, supported by a Wellcome Trust Research Fellowship.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am a Senior Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London, where my research focuses on improving outcomes for mothers and babies.
Consultations at established London clinics, with virtual appointments available for advice and planning.
Preconception counselling, maternal medicine and specialist advice, wherever you are.
Clinical practice and research go hand in hand. At King’s College London, the Shangaris Group investigates prenatal therapies and the immunology of pregnancy, with the aim of improving future care for mothers and babies.
