CLINICAL & ACADEMIC EXPERIENCE

I combine consultant practice at King’s College Hospital with my role as Senior Clinical Lecturer at King’s College London. My clinical work includes maternal medical conditions, high-risk pregnancy, fetal assessment and prenatal diagnosis.

I graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland in 2005, completed specialist training in London and hold a Master’s degree in Fetal Medicine and Prenatal Genetics and a PhD in Fetal Medicine.

Antenatal care & pregnancy complications

Assessment and management of complex pregnancies, including maternal medical conditions and fetal growth concerns.

Fetal ultrasound & prenatal diagnosis

Screening, recognition of fetal abnormalities, investigation, communication of findings and counselling.

Labour & delivery

Obstetric decision-making, fetal monitoring, timing of delivery and the clinical context of birth injury claims.

Preterm birth & pregnancy loss

Risk assessment, cervical surveillance, cerclage and care following previous pregnancy complications.

Instructions are considered individually to confirm the appropriate expertise, availability and absence of a conflict of interest.

INDEPENDENT EXPERT EVIDENCE

Work may include preliminary review, formal expert reports, responses to questions and conferences with the instructing legal team.

Reports distinguish the contemporaneous records, clinical evidence and expert opinion, and address limitations or areas of uncertainty. For civil proceedings in England and Wales, expert evidence is prepared in accordance with CPR Part 35 and Practice Direction 35, with the expert’s overriding duty to the court.
